Innova Canvas - "The King of Gloss Canvasses" (Photo Matte and Digital Fine art Canvas too!)

The new Innova digital polycotton canvas range provides a selection of  exciting and unique products which will transform the output of your images onto canvas and cut down on finishing time. The smooth woven surface of this polycotton canvas has been coated with a microporous gloss coating which is similar to the gloss coating we use on our FibaPrint range of papers. Therefore Innova achieves an extremely high good gloss, matte and semi-matte coatings which enhance colour gamut, and d-max in the dark areas of a print, whilst the smooth weave keeps detail needed in photographic images. The Microporous coating results in a very flexible canvas which is excellent for stretching and framing. It is easy to stretch and there is no cracking on the corners.

The Four Canvas (and Canvas Effect) Products

Innova offers four products.

IFA-36   380gsm Polycotton Ultra Gloss Photo Canvas

A high white polycotton canvas with a glossy woven smooth photo surface making it ideal for photographic reproduction. The high gloss coating achieves an extremely high level of gloss which enhances colour gamut and d-max in the dark areas of a print whilst the smooth weave keeps the detail needed in photographic images.

 

IFA-33 340gsm Polycotton Matte Digital Fine Art Canvas

Innova's new fine art canvas matte is a high white canvas with a smooth woven surface which make it ideal for the reproduction of Photographic images and artwork where high detail is required, whilst still retaining the qualities of a true canvas. It is a very flexible canvas because of it polycotton content, and ideal and easy to stretch. The canvas is water resistant and can be finished with waterbased and solvent giclee varnishes to seal the surface and extend UV resistance.

IFA-35 350gsm Polycotton Matte Photo Canvas

A bright white polycotton canvas with a smooth woven surface making it ideal for photographic reproduction. The canvas is water resistant and can be finished with waterbased and solvent giclee varnishes to seal the surface and extend UV resistance.

 

IFA-08  315gsm Canvas Textile Effect Paper 

Innova Canvas Textile Effect paper is a natural white paper with a structured canvas weave effect which gives the appearance of a true cotton canvas but with the flexibility of a paper. It is an acid free, single side coated media.

Cut sheet Canvas - A4 to A2

We have an excellent canvas effect paper - for more information please click here.  It is not true canvas though.

We do recognise that photographers and artists want to print and mount cut sheets canvas - and canvas with the print quality of the Innova Polycotton range.

Consequently we have added canvas sheets to our range on an experimental basis.  Many users (Especially those with Epson 2100 and 2400) report no problems working with Innova cut sheet canvas. If you have had experience (especially favourable experience) please let us know by emailing me personally daniel@opusalbums.com

Here are a few tips - we want to add more.

Problems can occur either in the feeding of cut sheet canvas, or in the registration of the paper in the printer to start the printing process.

   1. Try feeding the A4 sheets from an Innova trial pack first.
   2. Use the roll feed (rear) feed
   3. Feed a backing sheet with the paper
   4. Affix a slightly rough piece of adhesive tape to the leading edge.

 Unfortunately we cannot guarantee that your paper will work with your printer. The best we can do is to take back unused sheets at a proportional price and refund the amount paid less a £5 handling charge.

A4 canvas is normally available ex-stock.  Larger sizes may be subject to a lengthy delivery time
